പെരുമ്പളം ദ്വീപുവാസികൾക്ക് സ്വപ്നസാഫല്യം| Perumbalam Bridge Inaugurated

കേരളത്തിൽ കായലിന് കുറുകെ നിർമിച്ച ഏറ്റവും നീളംകൂടിയ പാലമായ പെരുമ്പളം പാലം മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയൻ നാടിന് സമർപ്പിച്ചു. പതിറ്റാണ്ടുകളായുള്ള ആവശ്യം യാഥാർത്ഥ്യമാകുന്ന ചടങ്ങ് പെരുമ്പളം ദ്വീപുവാസികൾ ആഘോഷമാക്കി. ദ്വീപിന്റെ ടൂറിസം സാധ്യതകള്‍ കൂട്ടുന്നതാണ് പാലമെന്ന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു. പാലത്തിന്റെ മധ്യഭാഗത്ത് മഴവില്‍ നിറത്തില്‍ മൂന്ന് ബോ സ്ട്രിംഗ് ആര്‍ച്ചുകളുള്ള പാലത്തെ നാട്ടുകാർ സ്നേഹത്തോടെ മഴവിൽ പാലമെന്ന് വിളിച്ചുതുടങ്ങിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. കിഫ്ബി സഹായത്തോടെയാണ് 100 കോടി ചെലവിൽ പാലം പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയത്.Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has officially dedicated the Perumbalam Bridge—the longest bridge built across a backwater in Kerala—to the nation. The inauguration marked the fulfillment of a decades-long dream for the residents of Perumbalam Island, who turned the event into a grand celebration. During the ceremony, the Chief Minister noted that the bridge would significantly boost the island’s tourism potential. Locals have already affectionately dubbed it the "Rainbow Bridge" due to the three vibrant, rainbow-colored bowstring arches at its center.
