What gives us confidence before God? In this clip from Philippians 3, Pastor J.D. explains the heart of the Christian message: gift righteousness. The righteousness God offers through the gospel does not come from obedience to the law, religious performance, or human accomplishment. It comes through faith in Christ and is given as a gift to all who receive it. When we put our faith in Jesus, Christ’s record is credited to our account. We are found in him, covered by his righteousness, and given a standing before God that we could never earn on our own. That means when God looks at us, he sees Christ first.
