New milestone achieved at the Windanker offshore wind farm 🌊

A new milestone achieved at the Windanker offshore wind farm in Germany! 🌊 The offshore substation is now in place in the Baltic Sea. The 50Hertz Transmission GmbH substation has been successfully installed at the Windanker site by Heerema Marine Contractors using the installation vessel Thialf. 🌪️With a capacity of 315 MW, Windanker will supply clean energy to around 315,000 German households. 🦺 It becomes Iberdrola Deutschland’s third offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea, alongside Wikinger and Baltic Eagle, bringing the total capacity to 1,100 MW.
