Henry Nowak: Hampshire police chief apologises for arrest and hancuffs

Police officers in the force that failed Henry Nowak felt “controlled and pressured” during diversity training, it has emerged. An evaluation of a day-long Hampshire Police course titled Inclusion Matters found that more than one in seven officers experienced pressure “to be certain ways” during the training. The course covered topics including racism, unconscious bias, privilege and “the importance of being an ally”.
