Description

My first effort with a 16x zoom lens on my mobile phone. Swings and roundabouts. The two were in quite a shady area but they came out lighter than expected. The only reason there is any stability is because I wedged the phone between the balcony handrail and a post. I'm getting a proper tripod mount so that should take vibration out of the equation. The fact that it's a fixed 16x lens means it'll only be useful at certain distances and not if the wallabies were, say, half the distance from me as they wouldn't fit on screen. And I couldn't get the third in without panning which would have been unwatchable. The "glow" effect might be the sunlight on the grass or it might be something else. Anyway, I'll give it a good go and see what I can do. It would be great if I can avoid using my camera zoom (it gets blurry if you go too far) and still get quality footage of the locals. I saw a baby Plover/Masked lapwing yesterday and I'd like to catch it before too long...
