‘Bawat Bayan Makikinabang: Cagayan’

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan May 15, 2026 Underscoring the Administration’s commitment to bringing government services and assistance directly to communities, particularly to sectors most affected by economic hardship, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. witnessed the distribution of aid under the 'Bawat Bayan Makikinabang' Program at the Cagayan Coliseum in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on May 15, 2026. Under the program, 10-kilogram rice packs were distributed to 3,000 beneficiaries from Tuguegarao City and to 111,333 beneficiaries across the Province of Cagayan. Beneficiaries are expected to receive 10 kilograms of rice every two (2) months. During the event, President Marcos Jr. also led the turnover of financial assistance from the Socio-Civic Projects Fund (SCPF) to 771 barangays in the Province of Cagayan, totaling Php154.2 million. Meanwhile, 49 barangays in Tuguegarao City received Php9.8 million. Each barangay received Php200,000, half of which was allocated as educational assistance for five (5) scholars nearing graduation who are facing financial difficulties. During his visit, the President also met with 4,100 Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Scholars from 820 barangays across Cagayan.
