Description
A zoo has announced the birth of its first red panda twins for 12 years.
Hertfordshire Zoo said the endangered cubs' arrival on 3 June had sparked "widespread celebration" among keepers and international conservation teams.
Red pandas are native to the cool forests of the Eastern Himalayas and the animal care team is "working around the clock" to keep the cubs cool and shaded.
Tyler Whitnall, the zoo's managing director, said the pandas had been "hitting all their developmental milestones" despite the "immense challenge of record-breaking summer temperatures right after birth".
There is an "Earthly & human stories (& other human/Earthly creatures/flora stories)" play list on this channel, when its a story about animals and humans crossing paths.
