What does it take to become a better educator while leading in healthcare and raising a young family? In this success story, Dr. Karen Chobak shares how her background as an elite rugby athlete for Team Ontario and Team Canada led her into sports medicine — and eventually into education. As the owner and director of Sports Side Medical Services, she teaches and mentors future healthcare professionals and wanted to become a more intentional, effective educator in her field. To strengthen her teaching practice, Karen pursued a Master of Education in Adult Education with Yorkville University. She completed the program fully online while pregnant and later with a newborn, balancing leadership, education, and motherhood.
