River, Alexa and Piper released back to the wild

Last weekend, River, Alexa and Piper had their big day. River was the first to go, unfortunately I was not quick enough with the camera to catch it but you will see him in the trees. Alexa went next and was off and up a different tree. Lastly Piper was on her way. Piper was pretty tentative, but she did start to explore the tree she had picked and even made a great jump to a different part of the tree. Release is always a nervous time for the carers as you can tell from the "o oh" when Piper headed out onto a dead limb. After a while we left them to their own devices as they explored and munched on leaves as they went.. Enjoy their release video and apologies for panning the camera round, trying to go from one koala to another. (It made me feel a little seasick!!!)
