Last week I sold out my first ever headline show in London at the iconic Unit 58! This was a dream come true and everything more. Not long ago I was performing covers at all my high school talent shows and posting anime covers on YouTube to my 0 subscribers. THIS IS CRAY!! Fun fact my set intro is actually a recording of me playing the violin and piano – it’s a classical piece called “Czardas” and I arranged the piano myself by ear 🤓 For my headline I wanted to give you guys a window into my music taste – songs I genuinely love from all over the world from Baile Funk to Old School K-pop to Amapiano to Vogue Beats and references to my favourite video games and Anime’s. When I’ve played for other people’s events I try to curate each set to the crowd but now that it’s my own show you’re getting the 100% Amanda Sze experience! We had some tech issues with my sax mic feedback so I made some edits to try and remedy that (lol) but I’ve realized no set is gonna be perfect and I’m still so so happy with how this one went. Y’all went CRAZYYY and it was amazing to experience the energy in the room. It's only the beginning, thank you so much for everyone who has been with me on this journey so far. My name is Amanda, I'm a DJ, musician, and content creator based in London. I've loved making covers on my instruments since I was a kid, learning violin and piano when I was 4, and I originally made this YouTube channel in high school as an online diary of all my musical creations. My journey with social media then started on TikTok In 2020, and since I've picked up DJing – performing my sets with live saxophone – as well as starting to learn music production. Live performances are always a highlight for me as I love to feel the energy music brings to a room as well as meeting people who come to my sets! I hope to do tours and festivals one day. Besides music I have a day job as a data analyst at a fintech and I love food, fashion, anime, and cosplay. I'm looking forward to sharing more about my music journey and my life with you all :D
