Description
I came to Pakistan for one reason — to attend a traditional Pakistani wedding.
The groom was someone I’d never met in person… until now.
I traveled to Pakistan after being invited to a traditional Pakistani wedding by someone I had never met face to face. Five years ago, during COVID, I hired Zaryab through a freelance website to help brand me as a creator. Instead, he pushed me to start YouTube — and this trip was the first time we ever met in person.
This video begins with my arrival in Lahore Pakistan and the process of getting ready for a three-day Pakistani wedding. From shopping for dresses for the Mehndi, Baraat, and Walima, to visiting Imrozia Serene for wedding outfits, and then heading to Liberty Market to find jewelry for each event.
While shopping in Liberty Market, my InDrive motorbike driver ended up helping me choose jewelry — a moment that turned into one of the highlights of the trip and a reminder of the hospitality I experienced throughout Pakistan.
The final part of this video is meeting Zaryab in person for the very first time — the groom, and the person who unknowingly played a huge role in me starting this YouTube channel.
This is part of my Pakistan travel series.
