Doctrine's True Impact: Holiness, Not Antinomianism

Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones says "If your belief of these doctrines hasn't driven you to holiness, well, you're in a very dangerous condition because they've probably driven you to antinomianism. You're using them to say, well, I'm all right, it doesn't matter therefore what I do. I'm saved and I'm final perseverance of the saints. If this hasn't humbled you and made you a more holy man, I say you're probably guilty this moment of antinomianism. You're not practicing Christianity, you're not doing what you ought to be doing. You're sitting back content that you've got a marvelous understanding of these great doctrines. If that's the result, I say you haven't really seen them. A man can't truly see these doctrines without being humbled. I say he's filled with a sense of wonder, love and praise. And he says, who is sufficient for these things? And he says, he that hath this hope in him purifieth himself even as he is pure. The more certain I am that I am going to heaven and to see Christ and to glory, the more concerned I am about preparing myself to get there."
