From Blimp Station to TV Antenna

Did you know the original plans for the Empire State Building included a blimp station at the top?   Sadly, this idea never came to fruition. Instead, the mast found a better use. Enter the pioneers of a brand-new technology… television!   NBC took over the 85th floor, and a giant antenna was added to the top of the building.
