It’s a mindset. A woman is not a transaction. And honestly, more women should feel empowered to split the bill or pay for themselves too, not because we owe anyone anything, but because no act of kindness, money, or dinner should ever make someone feel entitled to us. Independence protects boundaries. Whether Himanshu’s story even happened the way he said it or not, the bigger issue is the mentality behind it. Trying to act like a “stud” by implying a woman owes you something after a date is not impressive. Paying for dinner does not buy access to a woman’s body, time, affection, or consent. If someone thinks a bill earns them entitlement, the problem is much bigger than the biryani. Respect and boundaries should never be conditional. And the people laughing, cheering, and defending mindsets like this should also be held accountable. Normalizing disrespect is part of the problem. #anishadixit
