Giorgio graduated from Politecnico di Milano and is currently pursuing his PhD in Physics and Emerging Technologies at the University of Salerno, where his research focuses on Plasma Assisted Combustion for aerospace propulsion. Since 2023, he's been working on space-related industrial projects, has applied for two patents, and launched his own engineering company in January 2025. In this episode, we get into the science behind plasma propulsion, what it's like to straddle the worlds of academia and industry, and what drives someone to build a company while completing a PhD.
