Designed within a 19th-century workhouse building in a lively central Paris neighbourhood, architect Alexandre Moret and interior designer Lola Guicheteau of Studio IDA proposed an open-plan layout that guides movement through the space much like an art exhibition. A long oak console runs the full length of the apartment, subtly directing circulation while providing generous storage and display space for artworks and objects that can be easily swapped as the collection grows. A raised concrete platform defines the living area and discreetly distributes services underneath, while also shaping zones for lounging, dining, and sleeping. The kitchen is compact and concealed, disappearing into the background when not in use, allowing art and architecture to take centre stage. 00:00-00:48 Introduction 00:48-1:20 Location 01:20-03:12 Floor Plan 03:12-03:32 Entrance 03:32-05:23 Living Room 05:23-06:01 Kitchen 06:01-06:49 Dining Area 06:49-07:55 Bedroom 07:55-09:16 Bathroom 09:16-09:57 Conclusion See our favourite design details from this apartment https://www.nevertoosmall.com/post/smart-design-turned-small-paris-apartment-into-gallery-like-home #smallapartment #architecture #interiordesign Ep 249 Project Name: Charenton Architect: Studio IDA https://www.studioidaarchitecture.com/ https://www.instagram.com/studio_ida_/ Produced by New Mac Video Agency Creator: Colin Chee Producer: Lindsay Barnard Director: Nam Tran Assistant Director: Julieta Duchovny Cinematographer & Editor: Sebby T Music: Artlist.io Riverside by Aves Does It Matter by Kicktracks Days - Instrumental version by HUAN Home by Aves Share your projects with us- https://www.nevertoosmall.com/submissions Subscribe to our newsletter- https://www.nevertoosmall.com/subscribe Check out our store- https://www.nts-store.com Website- https://www.nevertoosmall.com Instagram- https://www.instagram.com/nvtsmall Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/nvtsmall
