She’s responding to reports that a series of illegal outhouses (mini bungalows) have been built in a small back garden of a property and filled with tenants. It’s up to council enforcement officers to ensure that properties built without planning permission are taken down. Lawyer Chris Sharpe comes to the aid of an elderly landlady who has discovered her 3-bedroom home in Tottenham has been occupied without her permission. Upon visiting the property, there’s no doubt it’s an unlawful occupation by squatters – but will they go quietly. In Brent housing officer Herb has received information from local residents that a flat is dangerously overcrowded. To investigate further he coordinates a surprise raid of the property accompanied by the police. It appears the 2-bed flat is home to over 15 men! Eviction specialist Paul Shamplina goes to the aid of a reluctant landlord with a non-paying tenant in Waltham Abbey, Essex. When he spilt with his ex-partner he could no longer afford to live in his flat, rather than sell up he thought renting it out might bring some financial stability, 12 months on his decision has come back to haunt him.
