But while researching Uri - a town just 10km from the border - I discovered a heartbreaking truth about the civilians caught in between. What I found shattered me: The human cost - My team talked to a daughter whose mother died during evacuation - injured in the blast and bleeding in their car. Families are still traumatized, children can't sleep, living in constant fear. Complete destruction- Homes built over years were destroyed in one night. Families lost everything and now live in rented places, some without proper shelter. No warning or protection - While other states and cities had safety drills, Uri got no warning. No bunkers exist for civilians - their own homes became deathtraps. Media failed them - Instead of real stories, national media spread fake news and misidentified civilians as terrorists. These voices were completely ignored. This is my attempt to bring you the truth with empathy. To share stories from every corner of Bharat that deserve to be heard. Because behind every conflict, there are human faces, human pain, and human resilience that we must never forget.
