Launch of Trabaho at Negosyo (Speech) 03/06/2026

SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City March 6, 2026 “Because when we build skills, we build confidence. When we create jobs, we restore the dignity of our people. And when we strengthen our economic foundations, we build a stronger nation for tomorrow,” said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. during the launch of Trabaho at Negosyo at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) in Pasay City on March 6, 2026. The program brought together entrepreneurs, job seekers, government agencies and private sector partners. It featured learning sessions with industry experts and thought leaders who shared insights on starting and managing businesses. The event also included a job fair connecting job seekers with employers and a one-stop service where applicants could access pre-employment assistance and advisory services from various government agencies. In his speech, President Marcos Jr. acknowledged the challenges faced by those starting or expanding businesses. He noted that many entrepreneurs struggle with limited access to capital and markets, while industries continue to rapidly evolve due to advances in digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI). At the same time, many job seekers find it difficult to secure jobs that match their skills and educational backgrounds. This prompted the government to launch initiatives that improve skills training, employment programs, and support services to help Filipinos find jobs and grow their businesses.
