Instagram's NEW Instants Feature | How to Use Instagram Instants is a dedicated camera feature designed for unpolished, real-time sharing. Photos are taken directly in the app, can only be viewed once, and disappear immediately afterward How to Use InstantsAccess: Open your Instagram Direct Messages (DM) and tap the Instants icon (a stack of photos) in the bottom right corner. Capture: Snap a quick photo using the built-in camera. You cannot upload from your camera roll or edit photos Add a Caption: Tap the bottom of the camera screen before taking the photo to add quick text. Select Audience: Choose to share with your "Close Friends" or all of your "Friends" (followers you follow back). View & Reply: Friends can view the photo only once. They can react with emojis, but the photo disappears forever once closed. Managing Instants If you find the feature too intrusive, you can easily disable it in your inbox: Go to your Profile and tap the Menu (≡) in the top right. Navigate to Content Preferences. Toggle on Hide Instants in Inbox.
