Description

Westbound signal: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, a RECO gate light, and RECO LED gate lights.
Eastbound signal: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, a RECO gate light, and RECO LED gate lights.
While waiting on A81, I heard the dispatcher talking to an NS 289, so that made me a bit more interested as I'd heard a rumor that 289 was supposedly going to be annulled, with the last one apparently departing from New Jersey the day before this day. As such, once the local passed, I saw that 289 was running not too far behind, so I decided to hop over to this crossing and wait for it. After a little bit of waiting, I was able to catch my third and final train of the evening here: NS 289 with a pair of AC44C6Ms for power.
This crossing thankfully hasn't changed since I last recorded it last summer. I will say, I do like how you can see Pratt Avenue and Meridian Street activating before it in the distance in this video, if you look closely.
Also, if you look at the left side of the screen, you can see the sea of brake lights that I-565 eastbound was on this evening. Apparently there'd been an accident on US 72 eastbound at Moores Mill Road on the other side of Chapman Mountain, and, as a result I-565 eastbound was backed-up all the way to the Parkway.
