Once the largest enclosed shopping mall in Mississippi, the Metrocenter Mall in Jackson opened in 1978 and stood as a symbol of the city’s growth. Decades later, it’s fallen silent, its halls empty, stores shuttered, and escalators frozen in time. In this video, we explore what’s left of this once-thriving landmark and uncover something we never expected to find. This is one of the most surreal abandoned places we’ve ever explored.
