Sir Keir Starmer has been forced into an embarrassing scramble to send a warship to Cyprus, after France announced a major deployment to the Mediterranean. Donald Trump has piled more criticism on the Prime Minister over his sclerotic response to the Iran crisis, telling the Sun that Sir Keir’s stance was “not helpful”.
