Toronto is under a yellow freezing rain warning

Toronto and other parts of the GTHA are under freezing rain warnings, as Environment Canada forecasts temperatures to dip into the freezing mark this evening. A yellow warning was issued for the city, as well as several areas of the Halton, Peel, Hamilton, Durham, and York regions, with the national weather agency saying the freezing rain could lead to “locally icy and slippery conditions.” “A low pressure system is expected to spread another area of rain into the region beginning late this afternoon,” the warning reads.
