HMAS Canberra on unusual harbour transfer 14.06.25

HMAS Canberra is the Flagship of the Fleet of the Royal Australian Navy. She is a LHD (Landing Helicopter Dock). An amphibious assault ship. Commissioned 2014. She is here moving from home base at HMAS Kuttabul to White Bay on the western side of the Harbour Bridge, a rare event. According to contributor @AegirPhotography, this was to make room at Fleet Base for visiting American and Japanese vessels. The antenna on her mast only just clears the bottom of the harbour bridge. Note the sailors lining the deck in formal fashion, right to the tip of the bow. From @AegirPhotography: It's a ceremonial Naval tradition to line the weather deck with the ship's company (in the case of an LHD it'll be sailors, soldiers and airmen) when the ship departs or arrives in port.
