WATCH: King Charles Opens New British Transport Police Headquarters

King Charles officially opens the British Transport Police’s new London headquarters on Buckingham Palace Road, meeting officers from across the force, including those involved in the response to the fatal Bedfordshire train crash. During the visit, Charles spoke with Pc Dave Sheldrick, the first BTP officer on the scene after two East Midlands Railway services collided near Bedford on June 19. Train driver Shaun Burton was killed, while 162 people were injured. The visit marks a major moment for BTP, bringing teams from Camden and St James’s Park into one new headquarters.
