Sophia Cunningham: Researching trees to cool our cities

This video introduces Sophia Cunningham, whose inspiring story is featured in Scientists Making a Difference by Dr Shini Somara. The book celebrates Sophia and 46 other scientists who are using their work to change the world. Sophia Cunningham is a PhD Student in Plant Physiology and Remote Sensing who studies trees to see how they cool cities. She uses sensors to track how plants respond to climate change and uses this research to help design greener cities that improve air quality for the people who live there.
