Hero mum saves family as tumble dryer fire destroys home | SWNS

A mother-of-three says her family are “lucky to be alive” after a tumble dryer fire tore through their home in Derbyshire, UK. Hannah Foster, 36, was at her home in Allestree with her partner and children when the blaze broke out just after midnight on March 27. She said her son raised the alarm after seeing smoke, before she discovered the ground floor already engulfed in flames and rushed to wake the rest of the family. Firefighters from Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spent over an hour tackling the blaze, which destroyed the kitchen and conservatory where the appliance was located.
