Drumsticks (Moringa pods) are harvested once a year, causing moringa trees to often be laden with them, outnumbering their leaves. One evening after sunset, I went to pluck some drumsticks, and I was captivated by the sight of the tree abundant with drumsticks, momentarily entranced by its beauty. I quickly gathered some slightly mature drumsticks and returned home. Upon entering, my brother treated me to a refreshing drink he had made. It was so delicious that I asked for the recipe, but he mentioned I should wait until it’s published later. I made a drumstick curry with extra gravy for lunch the next day. This wholesome and flavorful dish, enriched with coconut milk, is a traditional cuisine from our country. While cooking, I placed two drumsticks over the hot coals, which turned their skin black. I then scooped out the half-cooked flesh and fried it with dry prawns, creating a delicious dish. It’s said that drumsticks can lighten the heaviness of prawns. Actually, moringa is a cooling and healthy food, and the taste of the dish was really enhanced, especially after adding eggs, which my brother really enjoyed.
