Description

My Downy Willow (Salix lapponum) suffered in fall with scale insects. When I noticed this, the tree had already lost many branches. Today I'm pruning the tree to get it back on track. This tree was given to me by Xin of "Maybe Bonsai" in 2023. Salix lapponum, also known as Lapland Willow, is a species of willow tree that is native to northern Europe and Asia, specifically in the Arctic and subarctic regions such as Lapland. It is a small to medium-sized tree that can grow up to 10 meters tall. The tree is known for its narrow leaves and its yellowish-brown bark.
