Description

A simple test to try out my new affordable 500 USD setup, GX80/GX85 + 25 mm 1.7 as a B-Camera setup for my panasonic GH5. Can this 500 USD setup be good enough as a B-camera for my GH5 in professional productions? CINELIKE D: Shot with -5 on everything, the hack makes a big difference in regards of matching the color grade with my GH5 footage. In this video the goal is not to show the best colors but rather test if its possible to push the grading to fit a cinematic color grade, i think it holds upp well. 4K: The footage is sharp and I really like the look if it. BOKEH: The bokeh is great, its a great cheap combo with the 25 mm 1.7. The video is shot wide open at all times. IBIS: The video is shot handheld, the ibis is working great. DYNAMIC RANGE: I think it holds up ok, I felt that the highlights are easly blowned out in this window indoor scenario, but with right in camera exposure you get good results. GH5 is a winner here. SUMMARY: For 500 USD this setup is a beast and i can highly recommend it. I will try it out on my advanced terms with my leica primes soon.
