What does it mean to be alone? The idea came about after the uncomfortable reactions I’d get from people when I’d tell them I’m driving 5 hours one way to go hiking alone in a forest with no reception for a weekend. Peoples natural reactions were: “but why?” “don’t you get lonely or scared?” “are you ok?” “that’s along time in your own head” For me, time alone has always been the space where I recharge, feel most at ease and in tune with my inner world. This is a reflection of what time alone can bring in to your own life but also in relationships with those around you. All drone shots were done using the required permit via DOC and the respective Iwis.
