Welcome to Week 4 with our Lucky Charms and Sky & Tide litters — and a very big milestone: this is the first time all of the puppies are together without their moms. In this one-hour litter update, you’ll see the puppies exploring, interacting, and beginning the early steps toward independence. This week marks the start of weaning, with puppies being introduced to warm goat milk and pablum as those tiny teeth begin to come in. We also dive into several important topics for current and future puppy families, including: Allergies in dogs and what they really mean Yeast buildup and how environment and diet contribute Nutrition as a foundation for lifelong health Common household items and conditions that can be problematic for dogs and puppies You’ll meet two puppies who help illustrate how we support individual temperaments: Orange, who finds it upsetting to be in a new space and needs help settling Dark Blue, who startles easily and communicates with growls and barks — and how we gently build her confidence We talk about why clear communication in a puppy is something to value, and how we work with a puppy’s nature rather than trying to suppress it. You’ll also hear a brief update on our moms — Joya is thriving, while Raven continues to be a challenge when it comes to eating. These weekly updates are designed to show you what thoughtful, responsive puppy-raising looks like in real life — not just the cute moments, but the meaningful ones that shape who these puppies will become.
