In this week's release, Tim walks us through 3 key components to look out for with your throttle control. However you probably don’t know you’re doing these things until you look at the data.
First up Tim covers off the throttle lift rate and how most amateur drivers roll off the throttle rather than getting off abruptly and getting quickly onto the brake. This reduces the time where we could be accelerating or braking
Next is full throttle acceleration, comparing the data of amateur vs a pro driver through a time variance channel, you can really see how getting on the gas sooner can increase your speed further down the track.
Lastly Tim covers off how important it is to be consistent with your throttle inputs. Being on and off the throttle (especially when you have lateral forces in play) can upset the balance of your car. Getting on and off the throttle changes the pitch of the car which can lead to you losing either control of your car or lessen the amount of grip you have available
