Foreign Minister Winston Peters has told his officials in Beijing to "seek an explanation" after a group of MPs were banned from China. Four politicians from across the political spectrum were banned from entering China for a year after a trip to the disputed nation of Taiwan last month. It's the first time China has imposed a travel ban on New Zealand MPs.
