#rc Aeroplane with 2 gas engines AND a JET engine ! Filmed at Headcorn Aerodrome in Kent, England at the Southern Model Show with the Panasonic HC-X2 Pro 4K action camera for the Essential RC YouTube channel by Dom Mitchell. Thanks to the organisers for the invite to film at this amazing event. Scale aircraft 2 x yak55s joined plus a turbine. Real aircraft flies on the show circuit in America. This is a 1/5 scale version 2 x GP76 petrol engines plus 1 x 140N Jet Italia turbine in the middle gives it scale like power..... Weighs 37kg and needs all 3 engines to be able to hang on the power. Cli servos x 14 Spektrum ix20 radio with Powerbox power distribution in the plane Idea conceived whilst on holiday drinking too much tequila....saw the full size and then contacted Tony Tan who owns Pilot-RC who then took their std yak55 and made the custom joiner wing section and tail sections.....was then further modified by ourselves to add turbine and further systems. Luke Oliver is operating throttles independently so turbine and engines are used differently throughout flight manoeuvres. Pilot Luke Oliver, aged 23, has been flying since he was 2...but competitively/show flying as team pilot for the last 7 years as part of the AzAerosports team.
