IN → inside a small space 2. AT → point/location 3. IN → inside the park 4. AT → meeting point 5. ON → surface 6. IN → inside 7. AT → event/location 8. AT → activity (student life) 9. AT → location (building) 10. AT → general location ⸻ ⏰ PART 2: TIME 11. AT → exact time 12. ON → day 13. IN → year 14. IN → part of day 15. AT → “at night” is fixed 16. AT (US) / IN (UK) → weekend ⸻ 🤯 PART 3: TRICKY 17. ON → public transport 18. IN → sleeping/resting 19. ON → attached surface 20. IN → inside activity We use “at” because a meeting is treated like an event or activity — not a physical place. 💡 Think: AT = events / activities / specific points in time in a meeting” This is actually sometimes used, but it means you are currently participating in the meeting (more emphasis on being inside the activity) Example: “I can’t talk, I’m in a meeting.” 👉 So: at a meeting → general location / attending in a meeting → actively involved right now 21.
