Description
Looking for a light, grain-free fish recipe for dogs that’s quick to prepare and easy on digestion? This Cod Egg-Fried Cauliflower Rice is part of our Drooli recipe collection, created for dog owners who want simple, fresh meals without compromising nutritional balance.
In this video, I show you how to make a low-calorie, protein-rich dish using cod, eggs, cauliflower rice, and colourful vegetables. Cod is naturally lean and gentle on the stomach, making it a great choice for dogs who need lighter meals or have sensitive digestion. Eggs add highly digestible protein, while cauliflower creates a “fried rice” texture without grains. Once the dish has cooled, it’s finished with Olli, our whole-food supplement designed specifically for homemade diets.
This recipe makes approximately 1,000 kcal. If you want personalised feeding amounts or need to scale the recipe up or down, the Drooli app calculates everything automatically based on your dog’s size, age, and activity level.
Please note: this recipe is not nutritionally complete on its own. To make it suitable for everyday feeding, we add Olli All-in-One Homemade Diet Supplement. If you’re not using Olli, you would need to provide the missing nutrients yourself. Per 100 g of this recipe, that means adding approximately 1.08 g calcium, 1.29 mg copper, 0.46 mg iron, 0.02 mg iodine, 0.71 mg manganese, 13.35 mg zinc, 1.29 IU vitamin E, 0.06 mg vitamin B1 (thiamine), and 0.08 g linoleic acid (LA) to meet minimum requirements.
Ingredients (to make ~1,000kcal):
490 g – Cod (raw, boneless)
265 g – Cauliflower
260 g – Egg
75 g – Carrots
45 g – Olli All-in-One Homemade Diet Supplement
30 g – Green beans
30 g – Sweetcorn (cooked, unsalted)
Small amount of coconut oil (for cooking)
Directions:
1. Cut the cod into small pieces.
2. Grate the cauliflower (or pulse in a food processor) to make “cauliflower rice.” Chop carrots and green beans.
3. Cook carrots and green beans in a pan with a small amount of water for 4–5 minutes.
4. Add cod and cook until it flakes easily (5–7 minutes). In the last 5 minutes, mix in the cauliflower rice.
5. Push ingredients to one side of the pan. Add beaten egg to the empty space and scramble until fully cooked, then mix everything together.
6. Add sweetcorn and cook for 1 minute.
7. Allow the mixture to cool completely and stir in Olli. Alternatively, you can turn it into a paste with a little water and add it on top to avoid colour changes.
8. Portion into containers. Refrigerate 3–4 days or freeze for later use.
