Man dies after medical emergency in custody, Stanislaus Co. sheriff says

A man died after experiencing a medical emergency while in the custody of deputies, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said deputies assigned to Waterford Police Service responded to reports of a family disturbance at a home in the 13000 block of Rivercrest Drive around 7:30 p.m. Thursday. A family member of Shane Harlan, 39, signed a citizen's arrest complaint accusing Harlan of causing approximately $800 in property damage, officials said.
