I think this might be the worst yard I’ve seen so far this year, because when I pulled up, the grass was around seven or eight feet in spots, and that wasn’t even the tallest part. Before I started I went next door to see if anyone knew what was going on, and the neighbor told me the place has been vacant for a few years now, and every single year it gets absolutely out of control until the city finally comes by about once, usually closer to the end of the summer or into the fall, and knocks it down. They said the weird part is the house actually looks like it’s in decent shape, it even sounded like someone was working on it when they first moved in, but then it just… stopped. Nobody really knows who owns it, even though somebody still pays for the trash service. So I figured the least I could do was get it back under control for everyone living around it, especially because it’s a big corner lot. I ended up spending hours out there just steadily knocking it down, making a first pass to get through the worst of it, and then going back over it again a few times to clean up all the stragglers.
