Binatone 5-star CB27/81 UK FM CB radio - On The Air test 7may26

After servicing this top of the range 1981 set that ues the upper tier version of the Cybernet 134 chassis, it was time to test it. Recorded 7th May 2026 Mr Chippie drove along our usual 6-mile test route, the 'wrong side' of a hill. He stopped at the five mile point for a low power static test. The radio was set for 4.0W on full power & 0.4W (400mW) on low power. A standard replacement mike was used throughout. The factory original microphone wass tested into our base station at the end. Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio (and new mike) which is fitted to the test vehicle at no cost to us.
