In Alabama, one of our longtime southern contacts reached out after her neighbor’s irresponsibility turned tragic. Seven tiny puppies—born unwanted and left to roam freely—had begun crossing the road to her home in search of food and safety. Two of them were struck by cars. One died instantly. Another was found lying on its back, crying out and unable to move. Heartbroken, she scooped up the five surviving puppies without a plan, without funds, but with the simple determination that they deserved a chance. She rushed the injured pup to the vet, where it’s suspected the little one may have a broken jaw. The others, while not visibly hurt, are thin, full of fleas, and in need of basic vetting, vaccines, and care. We are stepping in to help cover their veterinary expenses, medical supplies, and recovery care for the injured puppy. These babies didn’t ask to be born, and they certainly didn’t deserve to suffer like this. Please consider contributing toward their care.
