2026 Polestar 2 Review: With This Update, I FINALLY Get It.

THE POLESTAR 2 HAS BEEN UPDATED!! But, should you CANCEL your Tesla Model 3 order for one?? This is the updated 2026 Polestar 2, and I’ll be honest… I didn’t expect to like it this much. When I last drove a Polestar 2, it was front-wheel drive, a bit stiff, and honestly pretty underwhelming. But with a bigger 82kWh battery now standard, revised driving dynamics, and up to 350kW of power in this Performance version, the Polestar 2 has become a seriously impressive EV. It’s also properly quick. We tested the 0-100km/h sprint using our timing gear, and the result genuinely shocked us. But it’s not perfect. The Polestar 2 still sits on older architecture, which means some packaging compromises inside, efficiency is not quite Tesla Model 3-level, and this top-spec Performance version is not cheap at $85,000 before on-road costs.
