Harmony Montgomery Case Bombshell: Dad’s Murder Conviction TOSSED!

More than two years after a jury convicted Adam Montgomery of murdering his 5-year-old daughter, Harmony Montgomery, the New Hampshire Supreme Court overturned his murder conviction, ruling that the trial judge improperly combined the murder charge with a separate assault charge involving Harmony's black eye months earlier. The court found that the evidence for the assault was much stronger than the evidence tying Montgomery directly to Harmony's death, creating a risk that jurors used the assault evidence to conclude he was also guilty of murder. While the murder conviction has been vacated, Montgomery will remain in prison because his convictions for assault, abuse of a corpse, witness tampering, falsifying evidence, and prior weapons offenses still stand.
