🇰🇭 Phnom Penh Nightlife SURPRISED Me | Riverside Walk Street, Night Market & Local Life | Cambodia 🇰🇭 I visited Phnom Penh Riverside Walk Street on a Sunday evening, and honestly, Cambodia completely changed my mindset. Before coming here, I had many misconceptions about Cambodia. I used to think that the country might not be clean, that locals may not be welcoming, and that scams could be common. I had also never really heard much about Cambodia’s nightlife. But what I experienced in Phnom Penh at night was totally different and very surprising. I reached the Riverside area around 6 PM and explored until almost 12 midnight. The entire riverside stretch near the Royal Palace, along the Tonlé Sap River, was full of life. Even though the place was crowded, it never felt chaotic or uncomfortable. Everything was very well arranged and well managed — walking paths, seating areas, gardens, and food stalls were all organized properly. Because of this, despite so many people, the atmosphere felt calm, smooth, and enjoyable. What impressed me the most was the peaceful nature of the nightlife. There was no loud music, no vulgarity, and no aggressive party culture. Most of the people were local Cambodian families. Kids, young boys, and girls were playing physical games, families were sitting together in the garden in front of the Royal Palace, couples were walking peacefully, and friends were enjoying simple moments by the river. The night food market beside the river was another highlight of the evening. Local street food, small stalls, fresh smells, and a lively yet relaxed vibe made the experience even better. People were enjoying food, chatting, laughing, and spending quality time together. Compared to many other Southeast Asian countries, this nightlife felt more authentic, family-friendly, and culturally rich. It wasn’t about clubs or alcohol — it was about community, safety, and togetherness. This visit completely changed my perception of Cambodia. Sometimes we judge a country before seeing it with our own eyes, and Phnom Penh proved me wrong in the best possible way. Cambodia truly surprised me. If you’re planning to visit Cambodia or are curious about how Phnom Penh feels at night, this video will give you a new perspective. 👉 Watch till the end to see why Cambodia won my heart. #cambodia #phnompenh #cambodianightlife
