Volkswagen job cuts: Germany's time as a car nation is over - analyst

Volkswagen is expected to cut up to 100,000 jobs and close as many as four manufacturing plants in Germany as part of sweeping cost-cutting plans. The company's board is set to present the proposals today amid rising labour costs and intensifying competition from Chinese automakers.
