One thing I didn’t really notice at first in Attack on Titan, but hits way harder later, is the foreshadowing between the very first and last episodes. In episode 1, Eren Yeager wakes up under the tree after a strange dream, already crying without understanding why. At the time it just feels random, but by the end, it really isn’t. In the final episode, Mikasa Ackerman has a similar moment, waking up from a vision connected to Eren. Looking back, it feels like the story was hinting at this kind of connection from the start.
