Afghan Forces Launch Retaliatory Strikes On Pak Posts; Taliban Drones Hit Islamabad | News Track

Afghan forces have launched a new wave of retaliatory strikes against Pakistani military posts along the Afghanistan-Pakistan border, targeting positions in districts including Zazi Maidan, Alishar and Terzi along the Durand Line. The escalation follows Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif's declaration of 'open war' with the Taliban. Taliban forces have reportedly carried out drone strikes in Islamabad, Abbottabad, and Naushehra, demonstrating their capability to strike deep inside Pakistani territory. Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif received a briefing at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi from Field Marshal Asim Munir regarding the situation. The Taliban have issued a warning stating their hands can reach Pakistan's neck anytime if violations continue. Pakistan has conducted airstrikes on multiple Afghan cities including Kabul, Kandahar and Nangarhar during Ramzan.
