Medha Rana On Border 2, Varun Dhawan, Connection With Col. Hoshiyar Singh & More | Filmfare

In this exclusive interview, Medha Rana talks about her big break with Border 2 and her role as Dhanvanti Devi Dahiya, which have given her an experience for a lifetime. As she comes from an army family, Medha talks about how her upbringing helped her connect emotionally with the story and how she prepared for her Haryanvi role by learning diction from her mother and grandmother, the process of which she defined as challenging. She mentions that her grandfather served in the parent Regiment of Maj Hoshiyar Singh Dhaiya, a fact which she was suprised to know only recently. Medha also shares the experience of meeting Dhanvanti Devi Dahiya, wife of Late Major ( later Colonel) Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya, which was a beautiful moment for the Border 2 actor. She also describes her auditioning process for the role and the day when she met casting director Mukesh Chhabra & the film director Anurag Singh and how they broke the good news to her. Medha in the film plays Varun Dhawan's on-screen wife and opens up about sharing the screen with a star like him made her feel intimidated at first. She praises Varun Dhawan's ability to make a newcomer like her feel comfortable on set and mentions how the actor shared his first experiences of the Student Of The Year set to put her at ease.
