Description
This was literally a race against the clock lol.
When I was in Dumbo (Brooklyn), this tiny dog waltzed right up to me to say hello.
I asked if I could take her photo, and her owner Elizabeth graciously said yes. 🙏
The only issue?
Her uber was coming in a few seconds, so I had to be quick.
No problem, I’ll just reach for my…
*checks pockets*
Somehow my squeaky toy magically disappeared lol. 🙃
No pressure, right?!?!
Luckily this pup was co-operative enough to let me snap her from a few different angles - including a hilarious shot of her sneezing lol.
I messaged Elizabeth afterwards and asked if she could describe Oki.
Here’s what she said 👇“She’s a toy Aussie, my partner and I got her at 7 weeks last November (right around this time). She’s a blue Merle and since she was a very young puppy she was described as a diva and a social butterfly and she has stayed very true to that description.
She’s incredibly loving and friendly, she loves everyone, but especially her dad (my partner). Funnily enough despite being an Aussie she’s not super outdoorsy - her favorite thing to do is go to stores and she always drags us into perfume shops, true to her diva nature. But she’s also incredibly intuitive and in tune with our emotions.
My mom and I came across her photo when she was only a few weeks old on Misty’s Toy Aussie’s because I was looking for a toy Aussie after dog sitting my friend’s dog of the same breed, and thought she was adorable. Then we had a video call and she was the sweetest, most playful, mischievous little puppy and I adopted her on the spot.
I also loved that she has one blue and one brown eye because my partner has blue eyes and I have brown eyes, so she’s like a mix of us.
We’re those annoying millennials that are completely obsessed with our dog and treat her like our kid.”
Don’t worry Elizabeth, nobody here is going to judge you for being obsessed with your dog. 💙
P.S. I decided to narrate my thoughts on this one so you can see what’s going through my ADHD brain when I’m taking photos 😂
